About two dozen persons have dropped out of membership in the past several years.

Heritage Posting (HP)

MMHS published four issues in 2008 for a total of 38 pages. The first two issues, totalling 18 pages, were edited by Bert Friesen, and the final two issues, August and December, edited by Lawrence Klippenstein, with a total of 20 pages, were 50^th anniversary issues. Copies of the December issue are still available at the exhibit table. The next issue of four pages, edited by Adolf Ens, is planned for May, 2009. Several hundred extra issues (outside of those mailed to members) included membership appeals. The response to these was, to all appearances, minimal.

50^th Anniversary Celebrations (1958-2008)

The final issue of HP features a summary article on the celebrations of 2008. Papers such as Red River Valley Echo, Mennonite Historian (March, 2009 issue),Village Review (MHV fll issue newsletter), Mennonitische Post and Canadian Mennonite (others?) gave special reporting to the anniversary celebration. About 200 persons in total attended three special events planned for the public.

Information Brochure

It appears that our special brochure is no longer in print. The Membership and Publicity Committee has been in abeyance (no one remaining in the committee) for 2008 so no planning of a new edition is in progress, it seems.
