Krueger book: a new collection of memories

Seven decades of personal experiences and folklore come alive in Memorabilia, a second book privately published by an Altona writer, now retired.

Jake Krueger is the author of this 168-page 7x10" book of "my recollections and reminiscences" written over the winter months based on personal memories and materials gathered over the last four years since Krueger published his first book Nostalgic Reflections of Jake Krueger based in large part on his personal journals and memories.

A prolific reader, Krueger's writing stems from a vivid imagination, nostalgic memories and a writing ability nurtured over decades. Easy to read stories, and in good humour, reflect his background. He grew up in the village of Neubergthal, worked in CO camp, and tested varied occupations he tested before settling down to work as a meat clerk.

The writer and friend Bill Kehler, 89, a recent computer guru, assembled the book for the printer. Two hundred copies are now being sold at $15 apiece to recoup costs.
